The motivation to stop living pay cheque to pay cheque fueled Kerron Clarke’s ingenuity and the desire to take control of her financial life birthed Budget Leaf.
The 23-year-old graphic designer applied her own artistic touch and created a book that allowed her to track daily expenses, organize spending and record transactions for analysis. Hand writing data produced a concentrated sense of responsibility for Kerron, it promoted discipline.
Kerron’s vision is shared among millennials but also applies to people of all ages. The intimate use of pen and paper seeks to keep Budget Leaf users more aware of their spending habits and provides an opportunity to learn as well.
